Businessmen from the category and textile industry should pay attention to it. From the Yiwu inspection and Quarantine Bureau, they know that Egypt has recently issued a new regulation on import and export cargo supervision, and has formulated different customs clearance rules for two categories of products.

The first category of products are footwear, leather bags, garments, home textiles, carpets and ground coverings. The second category is natural leather and artificial products.

Intermediate products such as footwear and accessories, textiles and dyed yarns.

According to the new regulation, there are three ways of customs clearance for the first kind of products: one is based on Egypt's imports and exports.

Producers are required to register with the Egyptian import and Export Control Association (GOEIC).

Two, the goods must be accompanied by the approved inspection and inspection certificate, including shipment data, inspection and test results, etc., which should comply with the Egyptian accreditation standard.

Three, the inspection and examination certificate can be issued by an Egyptian inspection agency or a foreign agency, but the agency must be approved by the Ministry of foreign trade of Egypt, and has a standardized laboratory approved by the Ministry and has the testing capacity of the relevant products. GOEIC will conduct random checks on imported goods.

The second category of products can be released according to the implementation of the relevant regulations on import and export of Egyptian goods, but the relevant inspection fees must be paid.
