According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, China's total import and export volume was 9 trillion and 70 billion yuan, down 4.9% from 1 to April this year. Among them, exports were 4 trillion and 740 billion yuan, down 6.4%; imports 4 trillion and 330 billion yuan, down 3.2%; trade surplus 415 billion 700 million yuan, 30.4% reduction. Clothing, toys and other seven categories of labor-intensive products exports fell by 10.2%.
Because of the difficult situation, many foreign trade enterprises are going to sell their products domestically and find another way out, including Zara, Starbucks, Estee Lauder, Zwilling, and other famous foreign brands.
According to the China Council for the promotion of trade, 700 foreign trade enterprises showed that 7 of the respondents said that it is difficult to win new export orders this year, and that foreign trade will face a grim situation. Nearly half of the enterprises will have a strong desire to sell domestically.
Guangdong Dongguan Dongguan Textile Technology Co., Ltd., an international apparel fast selling brand Zara foundry sweater, said in an interview with reporters: "our annual output is 10 million, and this year, overseas orders were cancelled by 7 million. At present, 70% to 80% of the workers in the factory have been on holiday because of the reduction of overseas orders. If there is no domestic trade order, the factory will probably not be able to support the present.
At present, domestic sales have become an important way for foreign trade enterprises to resist the crisis. However, foreign trade enterprises still face many difficulties in their export to domestic sales. There are big differences between domestic and foreign trade processes, lack of independent brands, different standards both at home and abroad, and difficult to adapt in the short term.
How difficult is the transformation of enterprises?

Whether it has its own brand or foundry type foreign trade enterprises, it must face the dual challenges of physical battlefield and mental battlefield again. Fundamentally speaking, it is about the reconstruction of brand and its cognition.
Fortunately, the rise of the Internet economy has provided new opportunities and possibilities for the export trade of export enterprises to domestic sales. In mid April this year, the Politburo made clear in the meeting that we should support the export of domestic enterprises to the domestic market, and stressed that local governments at all levels have gradually carried out cooperation with business associations and e-commerce platforms to promote the online sale of superior foreign trade products.
China Council for Trade Promotion (CCPIT) has suggested that through the holding of online fairs for foreign trade enterprises, we should further develop e-commerce and build a supply and demand platform for domestic markets with large platforms, wide audiences and safe collection of foreign exchange, and strengthen the docking of production, supply and marketing, help foreign trade enterprises to open up domestic markets, and promote the coordinated development of domestic and foreign trade.
