Quality Supervision Bureau Special Rectification Clothing Plush Toys

Since last month, our province has begun to carry out special rectification of clothing and plush toys for infant clothing, student clothes and down garments, and the activities will continue until August.

It is understood that the focus of this special rectification investigation includes the use of unqualified raw and auxiliary materials, illegal use of azo dyes, quality fraud and other illegal activities to solve the problems of formaldehyde content, pH value, excessive aromatic dyes and dyed fastness in dyestuffs, and the down content of feather clothing, cashmere (wool) content in Cashmere (woolen) garments, cotton fiber content in infants and children's clothing, and excessive formaldehyde in fur clothing, which do not meet the mandatory standards, and do not conform to the standard of indication and shoddy.

The quality inspection of students' clothing (including military training clothes) should be focused on checking the problems of unqualified safety performance, inconsistent marking and shoddy. For stuffed toys, we should check whether the filling material meets the requirements of standards and prevent the rebound of "black hearted Doll".

According to the briefing, during the special rectification period, the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau will conduct two spot checks on clothing products, and the spot checks will cover the production of clothing products and clothing imported from the special industrial districts and counties.
