Textile products

The main quality indicators are

Product raw materials

The quality of ingredients is one of the important factors that determine the value of products. It is also the main content of "genuine goods", and it also plays an important role in guiding consumers to buy.

At present, in the domestic market supervision and spot checks, there are many times that fiber content is not qualified, and some even involve well-known brands.

Qian Wei, deputy manager of China Textile Economic Information Network and deputy manager of Tianxiang Chinese market department, explained the question of how to mark the fiber components in the form of question and answer.

Why do we need to label fiber content?

Labeling of fiber content is the most direct way for an enterprise to convey product ingredients to consumers. It is also a commitment and express warranty made by an enterprise to consumers.

For consumers, it is the basis for understanding the material and properties of clothing purchased.

Consumer

According to the fiber content in the clothing instructions, choose the clothes that suit you.

What criteria should be followed for labeling fiber content?

The national standard GB 5296.4-1998 "instructions on the use of textiles and clothing for consumer goods" stipulates that the use instructions of products must be marked with fiber content, and the requirements for marking shall be carried out according to the textile industry standard FZ/T 01053-2007 "identification of textile fiber content".

How to label fiber names?

There are two cases:

1) the name of the annotated fiber should be specified by the national standard or the industry standard, and cannot be tagged with abstract, fashionable and substitute names.

The names of natural fibers are specified in the GB/T 11951 "terminology of textile natural fibers". The names of chemical fibers are GB/T 4146.1 "first parts of textile chemical fibers: the name of the genus", and the down feather names are adopted in the GB/T 17685 "down feather".

2) fibers with no uniform names in national standards or industry standards can be labeled as "new (natural, regenerated, synthetic) fibers". The names of some existing fibers can be referred to appendix C of FZ/T 01053.

Where is the content of the fiber content?

GB 5296.4 stipulates that each product should be attached to a fiber content durability label, indicating the name and content of each component contained in the product.

Fiber content can also be tagged on the same label with other contents of the instructions.

Consistency of fiber content should be maintained when labels of different fiber contents are available on the product.

For example, fabrics, wool, sewing thread, socks and so on can be used with tags and other forms of labels if the durability labels affect the use of products or are not suitable for attaching durable labels.

How do you label the whole product or special packaging product with fiber content?

There are several situations:

- products sold in whole box or whole bag and not suitable for durable labels. When the fiber content of each product is the same, fiber content labels can be provided in the sales unit.

- when the packaged product is sold, if the fiber content information of the textile products (except the above) can not be clearly seen, the fiber content of the product should be marked on the package or the product manual.

{page_break}

- a complete set of products consisting of 2 or more 2 or more units with different fiber contents; or a complete set of products with the same fiber content but each unit sold as a separate product, each product should have its own fiber label.

When the complete set of products with the same fiber content is delivered to the final consumer, the information of fiber content can be tagged only in one unit of the product.

- if the product is not sold to the final consumer, the content of its fiber content label will be replaced by commercial documents.

Can fiber labeling be in English?

The words on the fiber content label should be clear and striking. The standard Chinese characters stipulated by the state should be used, mainly in Chinese, or in other languages.

What are the requirements for fiber content durability labels?

Materials with durable fiber labels should not be irritating to the human body. They should be attached to the right location of the product and ensure that the information on the label is not hidden or hidden.

Which parts (parts) of the product need to label the fiber content?

The percentage of fiber content should be clearly and correctly marked in each product's fabric, lining and filler.

Only those parts that are decorative or not made up of products, such as lace, frills, welts, welts, belts, belts, collars, cuffs, heel mouths, elastic linings, linings, pads, pockets, liners, trademarks, local embroidery, applique, etc., if the area of these single parts or the total area of the same parts of the same fabric does not exceed 15% of the product surface area, the fiber content of this component can not be marked.

Can the fiber content label the brand name of the product?

No.

Because the brand name is not the standard fiber name specified in the national standard, such as "Lycra" and "Tencel", the "Lycra" should be marked with elastic fibers, and "Tencel" should be labeled with lycel fiber.

Can fiber content be labeled as functional fiber?

Not at the moment.

Some parts of some products contain some characteristic fibers, such as conductive fibers. The requirements of these characteristic fibers have not yet been clearly defined, and conventional component analysis methods can not analyze the existence of these functions.

Can fiber content be labeled as origin?

It can be tagged under specific circumstances.

The raw materials of some products are valuable for their origin, such as Merino wool and Angola rabbit hair. Unless they have certificates of origin, they can only be labeled, or only wool and rabbit hair can be labeled, because there is no test standard to certify the origin of wool and rabbit hair.

Can fiber content be labeled organic cotton?

It can be tagged under specific circumstances.

Organic cotton is a pollution-free process that produces natural pollution-free cotton from seeds to agricultural products during the planting process, and uses natural dyes that do not cause any burden to the body.

Therefore, it is impossible to identify the conclusion of organic cotton by relying solely on the test and test analysis. Only after the certification of the recognized organic cotton certification body and the corresponding certificate can the organic cotton ingredients be identified.
