The basic safety technical specification (GB18401-2010) letter of mandatory national standard requires all garment enterprises to keep abreast of the detailed contents of the standards, and earnestly prepare for the implementation of the new standards, so as to avoid unnecessary economic losses.


According to the introduction, the new standard is mainly compared with the replacement standard GB18401-2003.

Technical content

The changes are: the age of infants is changed from 24 months to 36 months; the applicable height of infant textiles is changed from "80cm" to "100cm" and "below"; the pH of B is modified from 4.0-7.5 to 4.0-8.5; the limit value of carcinogenic aromatic amines is increased to less than 20mg/kg; the "4- amino azobenzene" is added to the list of carcinogenic aromatic amines, and the "sampling notes" are added.


The most important impact on the implementation of the standard is infant textile and clothing products. The children's clothing Specialized Committee of China clothing association reminds children's clothing enterprises in advance. Please be sure to prepare for the implementation of the new standards ahead of time.
