The subject of "Research on Application of PU synthetic leather finishing waterborne materials", which was presided over by Sichuan University, was approved by the expert group in the conference room of the seven floor of the Zhejiang Lishui Economic Development Zone on the afternoon of April 3rd.

The meeting was presided over by the Lishui Economic Development Zone Management Committee. The expert group is composed of experts from Lishui Environmental Protection Bureau, Lishui science and Technology Bureau, Zhejiang Wuzhou Industrial Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Heli synthetic leather Co., Ltd. and Lishui Qili leather decoration Co., Ltd.

Representatives of synthetic leather enterprises in some water Pavilion industrial areas attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Professor Fan Haojun of Sichuan University introduced the work report and technical report of the subject. Experts and representatives from the participating experts put forward consultation on issues related to the topic, and Professor Fan answered them one by one.

Experts attending the meeting agreed that the acceptance materials provided by the research group were complete, and all the targets met the requirements stipulated in the contract and passed the inspection.

At the same time, experts and representatives attending the meeting also believed that the success of the project meant a major breakthrough in the synthetic leather industry.

This is mainly reflected in the following four aspects: first, the quality indicators of synthetic leather produced by water-borne materials all meet or exceed the existing standards of synthetic leather.

Especially the breathable, moisture resistant, cold resistant, heat-resistant, wear resistant, scratch resistant, adhesive strength, touch and so on are closer to the genuine leather, and are the upgrading products of the traditional synthetic leather.

Second, the material cost of the production cost is similar to that of the solvent type, but the drying temperature of the water-based material is lower, the drying time is the same as that of the solvent type, and the equipment is basically no need to be reformed. Therefore, the comprehensive cost of waterborne material is lower.

Third, the use of water-based materials eliminates the volatilization of organic waste gas, protects the environment, saves resources, and protects the health of operators.

Fourth, the process of using water-based materials is simple. In general, the engineers of synthetic leather can master the technology if they only have a little training.

Of course, the use of water-based materials is also not perfect, mainly in the following two aspects: first, there are differences between individual varieties, such as moisture cured products, and water based materials in terms of brightness and solvent type.

Second, after sorting out materials, the price is higher than the solvent type because of the need for foreign imports.

Because of the above two reasons, the use of water-based materials is restricted. At present, one hundred percent can not replace solvent based materials, which can replace about 80%.

According to the merits and demerits of water-based materials, the expert group has made two suggestions: first, it is suggested that the Lishui municipal government introduce policies to pform mature scientific research achievements: accelerating localization and scale production of water-based materials, so as to reduce production costs and meet market demand; accelerate the popularization and application of water-based materials, promote the upgrading and upgrading of synthetic leather industry, and substantially reduce the pollution of organic waste gas.

Second, it is suggested that the government and enterprises should continue to cooperate with research institutes and develop R & D of key raw materials such as high gloss oil and water-based auxiliaries as soon as possible.
