From the fourth quarter of last year and the first quarter of this year, China's economy is slowing down compared with previous years.

As far as I know, the department store industry has slowed down compared with the same period last year.

I think this is a relatively common situation throughout the country.


Against the backdrop of the downturn in the real estate market, many investments have been locked up. The international situation is uncertain, the recovery of the US economy is slow, and the situation in Europe is grim, especially in Greece.

As a result, China's A shares and Hongkong H-share's weakness are directly or indirectly affecting consumer confidence.


China is a world factory, and coastal industries have moved inland rapidly in the past one or two years.

Coupled with the government's efforts to raise the minimum wage level along the coast, labor costs have risen, which has made the enterprises feel some mental exhaustion in recent years.

These problems will also be reflected in retail consumption.


I think this is a short-lived consumer confidence problem, mainly due to these world situations.

In fact, China's market potential is still great, and there is still a lot of growth momentum. The growth driving force of two tier and three tier cities is stronger than that of coastal cities, especially the consumption power of inland 4-6 line cities, and the future trend is very good.


I think in the second quarter, it was a little better in April and May, but in June it began to slump again.

This situation is a reshuffle for China's retail market.

The extension of the Asia Pacific region, such as Malaysia, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries, will also seek opportunities for brand development. It will also conduct some brand risk assessment for Northeast Asia, including Japan and Korea.

I believe that in the past two years, we should have some actions to internationalize the brand area.

Daphne clothing aims to open 50 clothing stores this year, and its clothing brand is called Daphne Young.

There are 50 stores that we try to run, and the price is also close to the people.

Our sales channels are mainly in the mid-range business district.

For Daphne, I want the brand to be all fashionable.

If only shoes are not enough to represent the fashion industry, clothing should be added to make the brand image clearer.


Reporter: Taiwan businessmen are doing more and more services to the mainland. What are the advantages and disadvantages of Taiwan businessmen doing business in the mainland?


Chen Yingjie: I think there are many opportunities for Taiwanese businessmen to come to mainland China. First of all, Taiwanese businessmen and mainland people are able to communicate with each other in the same language.

This is an advantage for Taiwanese businessmen.

Secondly, Taiwan businessmen have 30 years of management experience in the retail industry. The retail sector in mainland China is very short of retail management talents, and Taiwan businessmen have an advantage in this regard.

Third, Taiwanese businessmen have an advantage in retail culture and creativity, and are good at thinking how to do better in the perspective of customers.


However, Taiwanese businessmen are also vulnerable, such as lack of determination to develop into the mainland.

Some Taiwanese businessmen may be very comfortable in Taiwan. They do not necessarily want to do their business very well. Most of them are small and medium-sized enterprises. The financing of Taiwanese businessmen in mainland banks is not so great. Taiwan's banks are not so fast in mainland China. Meanwhile, Taiwanese businessmen are not too smart about mainland China. They may only focus on Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other developed areas. The concept of other provinces may be vague, so they may be wrong.
