Chengdu customs held a press conference to announce the operation of Sichuan's foreign trade in 2014.

According to the introduction, Sichuan's foreign trade reached a new level last year. The total value of foreign trade imports and exports reached 431 billion 470 million yuan, an increase of 7.7% over 2013, which is higher than the 2.3% growth rate in the same period.

Among them, Chengdu achieved 342 billion 980 million yuan in foreign trade and import and export last year, an increase of 9.3% over the same period last year. Its growth rate is higher than that of the whole country and the same period in the whole province. It is the main factor to promote Sichuan's foreign trade growth.

Statistics show that the export of traditional labor-intensive products in Sichuan decreased significantly last year, indicating that structural adjustment has begun to play an important role and the quality of export trade has begun to improve.

Yesterday, Chengdu customs spokesman Ni Zao said that Chengdu accounted for nearly 80% of the total foreign trade in the province, and the main features of Sichuan's foreign trade were basically reflected in Chengdu.

Among the 15 sub provincial cities in the country, Chengdu has the ninth largest foreign trade scale.

Under the circumstances, Chengdu's foreign trade growth rate remained at a 9.3% growth rate last year, which is higher than that of the whole country and the whole province.

Last year, Chengdu's foreign trade mainly showed the following four characteristics:

Four, the import and export commodities were still dominated by mechanical and electrical products, 73.1% of the exports and 76.5% of the imports were electromechanical products.

Statistics also showed that the import and export value of Chengdu hi tech comprehensive security zone last year was 198 billion 230 million yuan, an increase of 15.7%, stimulating the overall growth of Sichuan's foreign trade by 6.7 percentage points, accounting for 45.9% of the total foreign trade share of the province.

Among them, the import and export of hi tech park was 159 billion 310 million yuan, an increase of 8.8%; the import and export of Shuangliu Park was 38 billion 920 million yuan, a sharp increase of 55.9%.
