Arong Banner is the largest tussah cocoon production base, the largest tussah cocoon distribution center and the largest tussah seed production base in Inner Mongolia. It has decades of history of tussah rearing. The local cocoon quality is good, the yield is good, and the benefit is good. The high yield and harvest of tussah enable local sericulture farmers to get rich.

Jiang Wei released 120 mu of tussah this year. In order to avoid losses caused by the "huddling" of the silkworm eggs, the couple simply lived on the mountain and stayed by the silkworm bed in real time.

The reporter learned that most of the villagers in songtagou village release silkworms, and the villagers have their own silkworm farms. Because of the short period of silkworm releasing and the high income, the enthusiasm of the villagers is very high. The farmers' income can be increased by about 60000 yuan. Sericulture has become an important pillar industry in the village.

It is an important part of sericulture production for tussah to collect ants and go up the mountain. Since May, the sericulture farmer Huo Yunfeng and his family have begun to make preparations. From cocooning to hanging, they watched and waited for Antheraea pernyi to become butterflies at any time.

In the middle of June, a silkworm moth struggled to break free from the cocoon shell, completing the perfect transformation into a butterfly and breaking cocoons in large quantities. Huo Yunfeng selected the moths according to the male and female, put them in the silkworm basket, and let them complete the mating production. The eggs and wings of the female moth are then cut off and wait.

"After disinfection and cleaning, moth eggs enter the silkworm farm. After one day's incubation, the black and small ant silkworms break their shells and come out." Huo Yunfeng said.

As the tussah yield per unit area and income of sericulture farmers ranked first in China, the 1.3 billion tussah "babies" released by sericulture farmers this year basically collected ants and went up the mountain.

"The income from silkworm rearing is higher than that from farming. It only takes two months. At present, tens of thousands of ant silkworms have begun to climb the mountain. Our good life depends on it." Sericulture farmer Xu Guihua's family has been stocking tussah for more than 20 years. The average annual income of more than 130 Mu silkworm farm is 60000 yuan.

Wang Yanping, a sericulture farmer, has been releasing silkworms for more than ten years. The local sericulture is developing very well. In addition to the quality, yield and price, the most reassuring thing for her is that she does not worry about the market. "In the past, I was afraid that no one would collect the silkworms, but now the merchants are coming home to grab the goods." Wang Yanping said.

This year, 4016 tussahs will be stocked in Arong Banner, which is expected to produce 6 million kilograms of tussah cocoons and 100000 kilograms of silkworm seeds, about 1.32 billion tussah heads, and the comprehensive output value of sericulture can reach 230 million yuan.
