Pay Tribute To The National Model Workers And Advanced Workers, And More Than 40 Textile Workers Were Commended

　　 On April 28, the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Conference for Commending Model Workers and Advanced Workers was held in Beijing. 2426 people were commended, including 1670 national model workers and 756 national advanced workers. Among them, there are 46 national model workers and 2 national advanced workers in the textile and clothing industry.

　　 This is the first national model worker commendation since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the central task of the Party for a new era and a new journey. It also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All China Federation of Trade Unions, and is a great event for the working people. Over the past hundred years, a large number of advanced model figures have emerged in various historical periods when the Party has united and led the people to carry out revolution, construction and reform, setting a brilliant example for the people of all ethnic groups in the country. It is of great significance to further inherit and carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsmanship through the selection and commendation activities, encourage the whole party and the people of all ethnic groups to make new and greater contributions to comprehensively promote the construction of a powerful country and the national rejuvenation with more enthusiasm, more tenacious struggle and more intelligent creation.

　　 It is reported that the objects of this commendation adhere to the political nature, focus on the masses, reflect the representativeness, and adhere to the grassroots, front-line, and ordinary workers. Among them, there are 903 front-line workers and professional technicians, accounting for 37.22%; 321 ordinary agricultural workers and migrant workers, accounting for 13.23%; There are 634 front-line scientific research and teaching personnel in government institutions, accounting for 26.13%. In addition, non-public economic personnel and workers in new forms of employment all account for a certain proportion.

　　 It is reported that from 1950 to 2020, the party and the state have held 16 national model worker commendation conferences, and a total of 33708 advanced individuals have been commended. Since 1995, it has been held every five years, on the eve of May Day in every "Five" and "Ten" years, and basically fixed the time and frequency of commendation. This year is the 17th time to award national model workers and advanced workers.
