The Hongkong Trade Development Council Has Invited Wen To Participate In The Exhibition To Find A Platform.
The day before yesterday, the Hongkong Trade Development Council held a service and exhibition promotion conference at Wen Joint Municipal Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau. Reporters learned that Hongkong's TDC has spent HK $80 million this year to attract buyers from emerging markets to participate in Hongkong to help mainland enterprises find buyers. The day before yesterday, the Hongkong Trade Development Council invited Wenzhou sellers to make use of this international platform to find new orders.
Wen Shaowen, senior manager of the Exhibition Department of the Hongkong Trade Development Council, said the support measures included trade buyer subsidy scheme, subsidies to local exhibitors at trade fairs and special offers promoted by UNCTAD and product magazines. In the first plan, the Hongkong TDC will cooperate with airlines and hotels to provide a variety of subsidy packages to attract more overseas and domestic buyers to participate in the more than 30 trade exhibitions of the board.
Hongkong is an important economic and trade partner of Wenzhou. According to the statistics of the Hongkong Municipal Administration of foreign trade and economic cooperation, as of the end of 2008, there were 535 investment projects in the city, with a total investment of US $3 billion 921 million 740 thousand. Hongkong is also one of the important places of residence for Wenzhou residents, and twenty thousand people in Wenzhou. Since last year, the clothing trade association of our city has used the platform of Hongkong to join the Hongkong fashion festival for two times, and achieved good results.
It is understood that Hongkong's Fashion Festival, international jewellery exhibition, electronic products exhibition, gift show, lighting show, toy show, spectacle exhibition, household goods exhibition and so on, the eight largest scale exhibitions in Asia, are highly consistent with the Wenzhou industry.
