Cotton Production In Jiangxi Was 112 Thousand Tons In 08 Years.

According to the latest statistical bulletin of national economic and social development of Jiangxi Province in 2008, Jiangxi's grain production has increased continuously for five consecutive years, and its total output has reached 19 million 581 thousand tons, an increase of 539 thousand tons over the previous year, an increase of 2.8%, and cotton production of 112 thousand tons, an increase of 4% over the previous year.

The annual grain planting area was 3 million 578 thousand and 100 hectares, an increase of 1.5% over the previous year. The oil planting area was 658 thousand and 800 hectares, an increase of 12.9%; the cotton planting area decreased by 66 thousand and 600 hectares, 2.6%; and the vegetable planting area 512 thousand and 900 hectares, an increase of 2.5%.
